This art doll was originally published in the Fall 2002 issue of Somerset Studio. The finished doll is 10" tall and 6 1/4" wide. Learn how to make 3 dimensional eyelashes and a new approach in painting and needlesculpting a beautiful face. You will learn to use new materials to create a whole new look in doll hair and discover the exciting and creative technique of free motion embroidery.

This beautiful doll is 5" high and 14" round. The techniques covered include advanced needle-sculpting techniques to create an adorable nose, chubby cheeks and double chinned face. You will make wired poseable fingers and toes with 3-D nails and learn to sew, wire and paint a shimmering gossamer wing, glittering fairie antennae and bead embellished Jesters collar. A beautiful project that lends itself to a lot of embellishing.

This pattern creates 4 different types of "critters". There are 3 different head patterns, two different feet patterns (rooster and humanoid) a pattern for tail feathers and a caterpillar's tail. All are accompanied by detailed step by step written instructions with detailed illustrations for needlesculpting, drawing the head and face and applying hair. The finished size is 4" high and 2 3/4" high.
